Big losses reported by Biomet
Biomet Inc. on Tuesday announced preliminary financial results for the fourth-quarter and fiscal year ended May 31. The Warsaw-based orthopedic devices maker reported an annual loss of $843.5 million, almost $800 million more than the $47.6 million loss reported for fiscal 2010. Net sales were $2.73 billion, a 1 percent gain.
