Mayor Sanders calls on hotels to help pay for convention center expansion

Speaking at an event honoring members of the tourism industry, San Diego Mayor Jerry Sanders said financing of the project cannot happen without the hotels' financial support. One revenue source could be a surcharge on San Diego hotel rooms.
