Most 2011 stock market gains are gone
The Dow Jones industrial average slips below 12,000 for the first time since March. Negative reports on manufacturing, real estate prices and unemployment as well as other economic benchmarks have led to six consecutive weeks of falling share prices. So much for those stock market gains that were fattening up portfolios not so long ago.
