About Academy of Finance! The Burbank High School Academy of Finance is a branch of the National Academy Foundation (NAF) based in New York City. The three-year program offers a great opportunity for students to learn life skills while completing challenging coursework. Students in the program take several classes focusing on business while participating in the entire high school experience. Field Trips! The Academy of Finance has been a guest of exciting and successful companies and organizations including: CSUN, CBRE, Junior Achievement Finance Park, Wells Fargo Museum & Bank, Federal Reserve Bank, City of Burbank, and Union Bank. Leadership! The leadership role is the core of the Academy of Finance. In these roles, the students plan fundraisers, organize the advisory board meetings, assemble the recruitment schedule, and organize the AOF graduation. Start A Business! You get the opportunity to sell stock and complete market research to design a company from the start. In the past, AOF students decided to start a service business and created an art and talent show. Stockholders got a 243% return on investment. This is a great opportunity to gain service hours and an awesome resume builder. Internship! Students in the Academy of Finance participate in a summer internship.
