Greetings from Preston International College Ahlan wa sahlan! Welcome to the Preston International College's website wherein the dream and vision of Islamized higher education is being realized in a pioneering effort here in Chennai, India. The goal of the college is to provide a solid program of Islamic studies taught in English while based on the comprehensive curricula of Traditional Islamic universities like those of Madeenah, Omdurman, Cairo, etc. At the same time, the College includes in its BA in Islamic Studies program (BAIS) vital contemporary subjects like those of Islamic banking, finance, economics, management, administration and education. PIC offers the customary BBA, along with the BAIS, however, all subjects taught in the BBA will be taught from an Islamic perspective and basic courses in Aqeedah, Tafseer, Hadeeth, Fiqh, Seerah and Arabic form the Islamic core subjects required of all students, regardless of their chosen specialization. The vision is to prepare students in these vital fields with a sufficient foundation of Islamic knowledge, and an Islamic oriented understanding of their disciplines to make them real contributors to the Ummah, their communities and the countries in which they reside. Because of the stress on moral values and ethics, our graduates will provide a new perspective in their chosen fields of specialization and impact positively on their immediate communities.
