There seems to be no end to the plight of the Indian traders being held up in China with their passports and travel documents impounded and slapped with legal cases over non-payment of dues. Their families back home are anxious about their safety and banking on the MEA to negotiate their release. But surprisingly, the MEA has pleaded helplessness, saying its hands are tied so the relatives of the traders are now desperately seeking the Prime Minister's intervention.
