Carmel's vendors are big contributors to mayor's campaign fund

Some of Mayor Jim Brainard's most generous campaign contributors are vendors who do business with the city. Brainard raised $226,715 in 2010 for his bid to win the GOP nomination for mayor in the May 3 primary, according to a 46-page financial report filed last week in the Hamilton County elections office. Added to his cash on hand, he has $278,965. He said he also has $90,000 in pledges.
