Season's snowstorms strain public works budget

Last month’s deluge of snow has left New Canaan’s public works budget strained, and Director of Public Works Michael Pastore has requested an additional $250,000 to cover the remainder of the year. Pastore appeared at Tuesday morning’s Board of Selectmen meeting to discuss the issue and asked to transfer the money at that night’s Board of Finance meeting, which was approved.
